Ok, I've been with my boyfriend for 4 years now and it's taken 3 for him to really open up with his love and affection for me, but I definately think it can be smothering at times. Like when he kisses me repeatedly (no lie) about 20 times. After about 5 or 10, I'm like "That's enough, lol". Not because I don't like him or anything, because I love him with all my heart. And he also has this thing for saying "Mwah!" like when we're across the room from each other or sitting in a restaurant. Which, I think that's really sweet, but he has a habit of going "MWAH MWAH MWAH MWAH MWAH MWAH MWAH!!!!!" And I'm sorry...it's just annoying. Plus, when kisses and things are repeated like that...kisses just lose their meaning...you know? I think one really passionate kiss is sooo much sweeter and a million pecks on the lips.

It only becomes too much if she is not receptive to the affection. If it overwhelms her or smothers her and she lets you know it, don't take it personally. Shes the one not able to receive it. But by the same token, respect her enough to back off. I just hope that if this is a problem in your relationship that you guys are communicating to one another

There is no such that as too much love, trust me, alot of cases when people are married they don't show affection to each other and they end up drifting away from each other, affection and love is key to show ur partner that you care and that u love them. Don't worry ur doing the right thing !!!!!!

Depends on the woman. My wife needs a lot of love and attention, but she also sometimes wants to feel like a sexy little toy for my pleasure alone.

NO it is not. my hunband and i got a divorce because he did not show any affection to our kids or me. just don't over do it.Every woman love affection but there is something called to to much. if your wife should ask you to back off a little than maybe you are over doing it a little.

Depends on your wife? What do you think? Or better yet what does she say? Personally I think both can be extreme, but that is just me cause I'm claustrophobic and I can not be smothered, yet I DO DO DO love that attention. So what is a man to do......
just ask and observe.

Sometimes yes, because some woman will take advantage of the situation. For the good women out there they will just love and cherish you more.

Love is very personal. You can only love the way you know how. Hopefully it is returned.
Just remember to love unconditionally and that sometimes the husband loves differently..that doesn't mean less, just different.
Continue loving and be yourself, that's probably why he married you.

That is a loaded question.

Yes, if by love you mean never letting her go out alone, reading her emails, checking her phone records, following her around.

No, if you mean respecting her space, doing helpful things for her, kissing her, etc.

I don't think so..why do you think that you are going overboard with it? Is she resisting some of it? If she is, then its time to ease up a little. I would ask her what she feels about it. That is the only way you will get the answer that you are looking for now.
