It does for some reason. Not sure why though. This remedy has been used for years and years...even during the Napoleonic Wars!

Swelling of the ankle can be caused by many things. Did you fall or twist your ankle? Did you misstep and injure your ankle? Do you have problems with swollen ankles a lot? Perhaps you are retaining fluid? Have you made an appointment to see your doctor? You may have more than just a swollen ankle, it could be a fracture in your foot or you may have a torn ligament or torn tendon too. Before you do any homeopathic treatments, not saying that they are not good, you really should get that ankle/foot x-rayed and looked at.

Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon!

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse. Yes vinegar is good for a lot of things but not soaked in brown paper and it depends on the quality of the vinegar you are better off with either an ice pack or witch hazel using a linen cloth .

How long has it been swollen? Did you recently injure it? If it's due to a recent injury you need to follow the RICE method - rest, ice, compression, and elevation ........ so stay off it, alternate ice 10 min on and 10 mins off, wrap in a tensor - but not too tight please, and lay down and place your foot on a pillow
