I too have very fair skin, and after years of trying to find a very light but covering foundation , I did try Bare Escentuals and I like it very much. If you have porcelain skin, try their Fair. Now I use nothing but mineral makeup---eyes, cheeks, face. It lasts all day, doesn't run. and feels like you have nothing on, and your face appears flawless!! The makeup lasts a long time and you don't need to use a lot--just a tad bit will cover nicely--it covers up a big scar on my cheek to where I don't notice it. And--a bonus--it makes your face look younger--doesn't emphasize wrinkles!!

MAC tinted moisturiser is really good. For a little more coverage, the MAC studio fix fluid with SPF 15 has a nice matte finish. You could tan in the sun, for a future of little red veins, wrinkles, lumps and bumps that the dermatologist has to cut off, leaving little scars... And, for now, after that painful sunburn fades a little, you might feel good about your skin for a day or two before you're pale again. I personally go for the MAC foundation. Hope it works for you.

I'm also very pale, and no amount of sun will change it (it's the stqay white or burn-peel-go-white-again cycle).
I use that colour-match powder (the palest shade) from Loreal and it's pretty good, I just use a bit of their light reflecting concealer in a brush (their take off of the YSL Touche Eclat) which is also very pale. I then find I don't need foundation.
If you really want foundation other than powder then the Max Factor one in the case (the non-rub off one, I'm having a mental block on what it's called) is pretty good as is the palest of the Maybelleine Air-Whip Mousse ones.

When looking for a foundation always be sure to try it on your jaw as the colour should 'disappear'.
In the summer i think you could wear 'olay' s new product for the face that builds up a gradual tan and also moisturises.Boots has a good selection from budget to pemium brands.

Virgin vie cosmetics have a really good range of foundations ideal for pale skin. Have you tried a tinted moisturiser?

I have the same problem. Clinique has some very light shades. Without knowing what undertones you have I can't tell you exactly what shade you would need, but if you go to a Clinique counter they can match you perfectly. You can barely even feel that you are wearing it either.

Clinique Soft Finish - get a consultant at the counter to match you up.
It's about £16.50 and always apply foundation with a make up sponge. (triangular one)

you should start with the appropriately shaped hole dug to a minimum of 3 feet, then board the sides and your ready for the concrete. that will be a good foundation
