What is the best vacation you've ever taken and why?

Dont know if you would call it a vacation but moved to Germany thanx to the hubby(military). Got sent there..but we would take time and go visit surrounding countries when he had off from work. Truely awesome and amazing.

New Zealand! It has mountains to climb, gorges for bungee-jumping, breath-taking fjords, beaches, sand-dunes (for sand boarding), temperate grassland, tropical jungle, snow fields, dormant volcanoes (like Rangitoto), lovely romantic islands (like Waiheke) that feel like you are in a different world, although it's only a stone-throw away from Auckland, Arthur's Pass (the nearly 30 degree train-ride) and quaint museums (filled with miniature objects like plans, boats, ships, villages, etc.... I marvel at their craftsmanship! or family-owned museums filled with antique musical instruments, some of which are nearly 200 years old!, or one that was filled with thousands of household artifacts that are nearly 100 years old! These things are not found in most Southern Hemisphere countries. Love New Zealand!

the best vacation i have ever taken was to italy with my boyfriend.we spent a romantic evening under the moonlight.

going to Mexico for the first time. It was the best because it's such a beautiful country with so much history.
