can i possibly connect with a computer with this wireless adapter without knowing the ip? im not tryin to hack into anyones computer cause i know people that can connect with their wireless laptop at an airport, library, so how does this work?

im moving and i have talked to my neighbor about connecting to them so i wouldnt have to get a phone line, IM NOT WANTING TO HACK ANYONES COMPUTER IU DONT KNOW EVEN KNOW HOW TO DO HTML SO I WOULD be stupid if it came to stealing someones internet

If you mean that you want to access the net by a wirless adaptor, Yes you can only what you need is an air station adaptor and a hot spot which means that there is someone using a wirless connection in your area

u set up a wireless network under network settings. it is possible to hack into someones computer without the ip address but it would be against the law and relitivly difficult.

You must know some information regarding the resource or computer you want to connect to. Either the ip address or the resource name.

well, some hackers have a program that finds the ip.

no. you need user name and password to connect them, also workgroup should be same.
