Right click Desktop with mouse, Screensaver tab, Check the sqaure that says "On resume, password protect" Assign a password. and no the screensaver password is not the same as signing in once you computer has started up..

From your desktop
right click .. select properties
click on the screen saver tab
check the box "on resume, password protect"
Click apply

there is no pass word required for screen saver! right click on desk top --- left klick ---- properties---left click on screen saver---
left click on box pass word protect---to disable pass word protect.
