Such as when we bring up questions of Anarchy, Communism, or any sort of government or political question or problem we get them answered in lame terms? Any suggestions?

The reason why so many young adults get looked down upon is because most teenagers ruin it for people like you. Unfortunately, it is not even the teen's fault, it is the parents fault for not raising them correctly. They should be raising them to do well and acheive many things in life. Unfortunately, parents are too busy and think it is ok for there children to slack off and get bad grades....but it does matter in the long run. Therefore, you need to be different then the next teen, you need to seperate yourself from the trendy crowd and do well and keep asking questions....you'll soon get the answers you have been waiting for.

Let's not forget about the way the media portrays teenagers, and early 20-somethings for that matter. MTV is especially guilty of painting teenagers as hormone crazed, self-centered, arrogant and impulse driven. These shows are supposedly reality based, but what portion of society is granted a new BMW on their 16th birthday. Paris Hiltonism runs rampant on "reality" TV. Sadly youth, good looks and ignorance sells.
The fact is, we were all young. We made decisions based on the limited experience of our youth, but never before was poor decision making reveled in on the massive scale today's media makes it appear. It is easy for people to see these examples of teen media, and stereotype all teens by these few examples. No one wants to believe that this is the future.
Honestly, teens are probably more intelligent today than they were in the past. Educational systems are, generally, better than previous generations'. The Internet also makes information more accessible.
I think the future looks pretty good.

I'm not sure if teens are intentionally looked down on as lower members of society, it is just with a longer life, comes more life experiences that you can learn from. Some teens have experienced a lot and are wise beyond their years, but for the most part, lack of experience equals lack of true understanding.

I think it's simply because teens are young. Teenagers lack the experience to back up what they know. And really there's more to knowledge than what is in a book or how you feel. Adults are proud of young people and their accomplishments though. It makes up the start of a proof filled "track record" that is revered in adulthood. Only when a teen gets older do they realize how much they really didn't know.

Teens are not mature enough mentally to make the proper decisions, or think for themselves....not to make teens sound stupid or anything. The mind is just different during the teen years. You will find that when you are in your 20's...etc and you look back to when you were in high school and the way you were, and what your views were, you will shake your head and ask yourself"what was I thinking back then"....Most teens are too rebelious.

I do not think this is true at all. Teens are always looked at as the next generation. Perhaps you are refering to black teens? If so, that may be possible.

you sound extremely intelligent to me! sad to say,but many of us parents fail to remember how it was when we were teens and how it felt to be belittled for our thoughts. My kids(both now grown) have always had the option to come to me and say"I do not need you to be Mom right now,I need an older friend who can listen and not judge me" this was a pass to tell me ANYTHING and there would be no backlash for it.maybe more parents should try this

Because they go through this rebellious, goof-ball stage as they start liking the opposite sex. I will say that those teens who deserve my respect get it.
