ok you know whene you do the laundry you first have two socks but when you finish there is only one. What happens to the other?

There is a really big pile of odd socks somewhere...

The other sock is stucked through a complicated system of pipes leading to the secret underground fortress of the Sock Monster. The Sock Monster uses them to feed and clothe his family, and also places random socks in peoples bedrooms to confuse them.
Really, though, I think it just gets lost, sometimes even between the washer and drier.

This is easy as happened to me many times. The sock has a loose thread and slowly unravels in the dryer and over time it breaks down and turns to line. So, when your dryer is done, your sock still exists but it exists as lint in the dryer lint trap. Very difficult to sew back together so don't waste your time.

So THAT's where all the socks are comming from. My dryer is always full of socks and I never knew how they got there. I only get one of each so I can't use them.

Its the monster in the dryer that takes them! Its almost like ritual sacrifice! Only your poor socks are ripped from each other. Its really quite tragic!

you washer spins so fast that it creates a black hole which then draws the socks, usually the right one in to it.
on the other side of the black hole lives a race of one legged aliens who need to keep protect their foot from snarling wild one legged alien eating beasts.
so really it is a good thing that you always loose one sock in the wash.

the dryer ate it it happens to me all the time to i kick the crap out of that machine everytime it happens also .....dont try it it never brings the sock back...

i dont know.. i swear it gets sucked into the dryer and when day when the dryer isbroke you can tear it apart and find all those missing socks!!!

You probably just miss it and find it the next time you do laundry, or it gets ruined.
