I sympathize! (I'm a Red Sox fan)!

Some teams have never won the World Series in their HISTORY (ie, Padres, Brewers) or even made it to the Series at all (ie, Expos/Nationals, Mariners, Rangers), so you can take some consolation in that. And the St.Louis Browns were in the AL from 1902-53, and I don't believe they ever went to the World Series!

And the Phillies didn't win it even once until 1980. And the franchise has been in existence since 1880! (In Philly since 1883. That's a LOOOONG wait!). I think that team wins the prize for the all-time non-winning streak!

Among non-expansion teams, I know the Indians have not won it all since 1948. I believe that is the second longest current streak.

But when the Cubs DO finally win, I'll be celebrating with you!

Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners have not appeared in the world series...I believe Rangers never appeared in a series as the second inception of the Washington Senators as well.

Colorado Rockies have not appeared in a WS either but are still considered an expansion team of sorts.

The White Sox and Red Sox have had the longest droughts recently but the Giants, Indians are among the franchises that have gone the longest.

The Philadelphia Philles won a world series in 1980 but had not won a world series since it's inception (1903) so they went 77 years without one.

Well it was the Sox's, but they won. The Devil Rays and Astros have never won. After the Cubs comes the Indians, followed by the Giants for the longest world series drought.

Just so you know the longest drought was the Phillies that went 97 years before winning the World Series and that was 26 years ago. So if you’re a Phillies fan you have to wait another 71 years to see them win it again.

The Texas Rangers...have been playing in Texas since the early 1970s and haven't been to World Series once.

The Diamondbacks won the World Series in 2001.

I'm not sure about appearances but of course the Red Sox hadn't won in forever and also I know the White Sox hadn't won in forever too! They both did it so I think the Cubs are next...maybe in the next few years.

Sadly enough, my Texas Rangers have NEVER been to the World Series.

We've only made the playoffs twice in our history.
