Ok, I'm not a pedophie nor do I promote it. Using logic, there is a theory that pedophiles are genetically born that way...the same as gays claim. Does that make it right behavior?

I think we are all born perverted. Its just how bad will it get? A matter of the heart and self-control. I'm sure that everyone in the world has some perversion in their mind (sexual or otherwise) that self-control prevents from happening. And a perversion could be a simple as wanting to eat crayons when you know you shouldn't. Logically everyone is born perverted... but how many have control over it, or want to change it?

Some pedophiles are MADE, they are not born. Some become pedophiles because someone had molested them or because of some other situation.

And lots of gay people are born gay. Some are not. Some people "go gay" because something terrible happened to them with the opposite sex like being mistreated in heterosexual relationships repeatedly or rape. Sometimes a hetero person never finds real happiness or true love until they have a same-sex relationship, and then they no longer identify themselves as being heterosexual. They 'become' gay. Many of us are actually born gay, but not everyone.
And not all pedophiles are born, either.

Gay people enjoy same-sex relationships. THESE RELATIONSHIPS have nothing to do with adults preying on children for sex. Being gay doesn't make you a pedophile. Most pedophiles are heterosexual. Being a pedophile is a sickness. Being gay is not.

First, I've never seen ANY evicence that pedophilia is genetic. However there is mountains of evidence that it is conditional. Over 90% of pedophiles were themselves sexually abused as children. The sad thing is that pedophiles were themselves victiems, and now they victiemize others because the people who abused them screwed them up so much. So your question is not really based in reality.

Second, even if we were to ignore the real causes of pedophilia and accept the completely hypothetical that they were born that way, there is the big overwhelming issue of consent. Gays have legal sex between two consenting adults. Pedophiles have illegal sex with children who cannot ever consent to it. That is a HUGE difference, and is enough of a reason to make gay people acceptable and pedophiles not.

That's a common, but slippery slope, argument. Pedophilia is different than homosexuality in that it was brought on by environmental factors; the pedophile was perhaps molested a child. They think that the child enjoys sexual contact, when in fact the child does not understand, and is therefore negatively affected by it. If the same were true of homosexuality, then we would see homosexuals coming out of one certain type of environment, which they don't. They come from all walks of life, all cultures, all backgrounds, all situations. And, of course, there's the matter of willingness. In a homosexual relationship, both partners have mutual emotion towards each other, whereas in a pedophilic relationship, the pedophile only thinks the child has the same kind of feelings that he (or she) has.

There isn't too much evidence to support that genetics plays roles in pedophilia. However, I did stumble on a study that shows men that suffered head injuries in which unconsciousness was present in early childhood (before age 6) where more likely to be pedophiles and have lower cognitive function. Also, men that had mothers with psychiatric problems also tend to be pedophiles. Does this mean that if your crazy mother dropped you on your head when you were little you are gonna be a pedophile? (jk) There isn't just one answer.

Here is the study: http://www.springerlink.com/media/a8612r45fm3jrw4f0a9g/contributions/q/5/1/l/q51l1j12x75832p2.pdf

Some are, some are as a result of being abused as children. Even if it's a result of birth, it doesn't make it right if it hurts others. You are clearly trying to equate homoexuality with pedo and the simple fact is that one hurts children and one doesn't, it's that simple.

Many people are born with disorders that hurt others, nobody is saying that being born with anything makes it right. But homosexuality hurts nobody. The only reason too fight against it is bullcrap religion. That's it. And the skeeve factor, of course.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

My understanding of pedophilia is that these people were molested as children and then they continue the cycle.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

"using logic" is part of your question. Sorry, but I suspect you have no idea what the word, "logic" means. Judging by your questions and attitude seen here, I would say you are lost when it comes to basic words.
