Yes.
The world is bigger than my neighborhood.
I want to experience what others are doing, thinking, feeling and eating.
Since I can't travel as much as I'd like, having friends abroad help keep me in contact with the rest of the world.

My best friend moved to Australia last March (I am in the UK) and I miss her so much. So no I don't want to have friends abroad. Although, then again, it may come in handy if we want to take a holiday over there!

i love to have friends abroad! since i LOVE to travel, i'd love to visit them where ever they are, and then i'd get to see what their country is like.

so i can compare my life and theirs and how different they are. A cultural experience. And if i ever visit that country, i can stay with them and they can show me around. Vice-versa
