Cincinatti has never won a superbowl, losing both Superbowl
16 (1982 for the 1981 season) and 23 (1989 for the 1988 season) to the San Francisco 49ers. Both games were very close with the 49er's coming out on top by just 5 points.

Never won. Played twice, losing both to San Francisco (in January 1982 and January 1989). Both games were very close and very competitive. Cincinnati should have beaten SF in 1989, but the 49ers had a late drive and scored the go-ahead TD to win.

No...they did lose twice in Super Bowl both times to Joe Montana's San Fransciso 49ers (Super Bowl 16 and Super Bowl 23)

Nope, they went twice in '81? and '88, both times against the '49ers and lost. Both were very good games though.
