This question has gone six days without an answer. Call the Better Business Bureau. They will tell you the number of complaints lodged against this company, and whether they were successfully resolved ... or not. Steer clear of a company with a large number of complaints or unresolved complaints.

The type of asbestoes removal you describe is the most dangerous removal that there is. The cloth barrier contains the fine dust of asbestoes insulation. Its' removal must be done by a licensed asbestoes abatement contractor and must be disposed of in an approved facility. I cannot stress the importance of this enough. You must have a qualified contractor perform this work.

This matter is so important, that I recommend that you review any prospective contractors agreements with your attorney before you sign one of them. The livability of your house could be put at risk and you could face huge fines and penalties if things go wrong with an unqualified contractor.

Good luck with your project.
