Is there a way to set up an email list, so when people get the email, they don't see all the addresses, it just says "TO: list1" or something?

No, it's not spam. I'm part of an organization and we need to send announcements out. They WANT to recieve these emails, but with yahoo mail, there is a limit, I think 100. We just wanted a way to create a big list or something, and then we just send to the list, and it goes out to everyone.

the problem with yahoo groups or google groups is that whenever someone sends a message to "example@yahoogroups.com", everyone on the list gets the email everytime. This will be a big mess. I just want to be able to send a weekly email to everyone.

Yes, u can do this. Create a list of those people in yahoo address book. When u add the addresses in the address bar, just insert the list . Ur email will reach to all the people. And ur problem will be solved. Isn't it easy.

Nope. Not and have the other people's name not show. Plus your ISP will probably not be happy with an e-mail going to the any people. They usually start blocking at about 25 - 50 addresses in an e-mail. I work with a local theater group that often has to send announcements to our membership of 200-300 people. We normally do it 25 people at at time. We have an e-mail list for A-C, D-F, etc.

Create a group in the address book of that email account and add those 200 people to it. Then choose to send the email to that group. Enjoy!!

Its spamming, and moreover your service provider will not allow to send that much mail at a particular time.
If you really want to send some genuine mail to 200 friends of yours, then create a group(something like yahoo groups for your friends) invite them and ask your friends to join that group. So you can send a group mail and all the 200 persons will receive it.

go to Yahoo! Groups

there you can set up a common interest group and send invitations for these people to join it. once they get the email and join, they are added to the listserv. that way you just send the email to 'example@yahoogroups.com' and it goes out to all 200+ people.....

we use Yahoo! Groups as the listserv in my sorority and we've never had a problem with it :-)

just create list of contact and one word list type in to box and all other address list could be added in bcc, then all will receive mail with list only. not email addresses.
