I have two answers:
1. In a gadda da vida (Iron Butterfly) It is such an avantgarde song for its time, its long and has an epic pattern. Also, the melody is very strong and catchy. And, finally; it has a drum solo that goes on for over 4 minutes, I am a drummer and I really envy the way that the solo is performed.
2. Echoes (Pink Floyd) Anather long and epic song from early 70'S Its one of the best song that has ever been written. It has different sections with different melodies and tempo. A brilliant work of mind. Also, anyone, who intends to play electric guitar should listen to David Gilmou^'s solos and effects really carefully. Its the climax of Pink Floyd's psychdelic era, and no matter how much or often you listen to it, it never gets old.

Hotel California by the Eagles... Fantastic. The words are really thought about and the guitar riff at the end makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

Ahhh, A few. The Damned's New Rose for giving the music industry the kick in the pants it needed;
and Alien Sex Fiends My Brain Is In The Cupboard for the ace line
"my brain is in the cupboard,
above your kitchen sink
It's not in my head
So I don't have to think"

there's a lot of cases when I desire I had written some large riffs from certain songs, and compiled them mutually to make one large music. i quite desire i ought to've written those songs: Spirit in Black by ability of Slayer The cloth Falls by ability of Opeth Flesh and the ability It Holds by ability of death. very few large, unique metallic bands. BQ: seeing that i have never listened to them, i can not allow you to understand my answer on the present time. Sorry :( BBQ: absolutely a yay from me.

I'm not good at writing songs. However, I wish Chris Isaac's "Wicked Game" was written FOR me.
