I'm not sure what kind of cable installing your talking about? Is this CATV? The salary sounds about right. Sometimes even though your contracting they withold taxes. In my case contracting just means I work for a firm other than the company which you preform the work for. If not figure about 30% of your gross.

My hubby does this here. It sounds as if the 40K is the low end and 60K is the high end, and from what I know of Florida (lived in Tampa and the Keys) then I would say yes, it's possible. If it's not for a company, however, then it's a bit different. My husband actually works for the company and doesn't contract for them. He started out making good money and once he's moved up, he can make VERY SWEET money for this area (we're in Arkansas). As far as taxes, normally, income tax is just above 20%. If you are paying your own taxes, do it quarterly, as then you won't have a huge lump sum to pay at tax season.

I did it at Viasource Communications in New York.

Is it possible? At what I was paid I made the low end of that scale but not much higher. You may be paid better. Viasource was a contractor, Cablevision or Time Warner is an operator - they would probably pay more. Also, you can work later, get overtime (sometimes) etc.

As to the percentage that you pay in taxes - it depends on what bracket you're in. At 40k I think you're in a higher bracket than making 29K a year.

Write me if you have any more questions.

positioned on kahki pants and a polo shirt and a few loafers (no tenni shoes). deliver a notice pad to take notes. despite if it isn't the type you may gown on a popular day you nonetheless choose to look presentable such as you have been going to a organization assembly on the organization. a super mistake human beings make is to gown how they might on the job and not how they might to attend an significant organization assembly. Employers choose to be attentive to you are able to pull your self at the same time for some thing significant.
