Over a 31 yr career, I had several of them, and they will leave you alone and try staying away from you. Every time they are near you ask them questions you know they can't answer. Rather than make themselves look dumb because they won't admit not knowing, they will start dodging you. Try it! :-)

An annoying boss would make me start looking for a new job. I would start by targeting the hidden job market. There is a great article here about the hidden job market.

The best way to deal with anyone that annoys you is to ask them questions that make them think! Like why do you do that? Why do you say those kind of things? ETC. When u get ppl thinking about their behavior, it gets them to realize that they need to change it.

Just hit him in the face if u r too bold. And if u r not , then deal him with patience and confidence.

Mostly I just tune mine out and sing a little happy song in my head while he is talking about non-important things. Like his perfect wife, kids and life!
