i heard some card is used for this. wats tat card n how can v connect internat with broadband services??? pls help...

Assuming you have either DSL or Cable, then it's the same way you'd connect your desktop computer. You'd connect through an ethernet RJ-45 connector or possibly through a USB 2.0 connector, whick requires an adapter.

You may be able to connect wirelessly as well, but you'd need a wireless card, an access point or a wireless router

A wireless card? If you have the correct drivers installed, you can pick up broadband networks without wires. In my house, we have a wireless network, where we just log on when we turn the laptops on. But you need to subscribe to a broadband provider first and it'll only work when you're near your net work - though I generally borrow other peoples when I'm out and about!
