Your limit depends on how many points you have left. You get 2 points for answering a question, and you lose 5 points for asking a question. Here's the complete point system:

Yup... staggered 20/40/60 etc.
It's really quite counter productive for information but makes a world of sense when selling ad space and planning bandwidth...

and so on until the snobbish level 6 and 7 pukes allow u

If you look at the point total chart, it also lists the question limit based on your point level.
That is why Level 5 is so critical. It releases the cap.
