ok, so here's the deal...I have a spyware thingy on my computer called backdoor.win32.aim.aj, i have ran four different antispyware programs on my computer and nothing is getting rid of it! Any suggestions on how to get this thing out of my computer before it resets my internet connection yet again??( I have cable dsl)

its not a big threat
disconect ur internet
and run a updated antivitus
run adware from lavasoft.com
run ccleaner.com
that shud take care of the probem

Here is link to SYMANTEC removal instructions.
I have had objects that AV could not remove and have had to go into the registry to delete files.
Its very doable if somewhat tedious if you got a bunch of objects on computer.
Pretty much boils down to identifying the object.
Backing up registry......
and then following instructions provided.

Install Kaspersky Anti-virus Personal 5 and install license keys.
It will remove your virus.

The best program is called a-squared and it has a freeware version,download it and run it and it will take care of your problem.

boot in safe mode with networking. connect to the internet and go to www.housecall.antivirus.com that will clean it. but you have to be in safe mode. Hit f8 key when you first start to boot and it will give you options.

There is a free anti virus called AGV. You can download from this site.

Run it and it will clean it off.
