I promised my husband a few months ago that I would give it up, and I did, till this past week. He and I had been fighting pretty badly about his behavior, so in a rebellious way I guess, I blew about $500. This puts us in a tight spot and he freaks when we're broke due to my spending. Of course, he can blow $300 in a week, but if I do, all hell breaks loose!

Unfortunately, I do not have the resources to get the $500 back into the bank, so I have to come up with a way to explain this. I feel terrible. He has a tendency to be quite hypocritical, so I'm really expecting to get blasted. Any suggestions?

I go through the same thing. I have my pending moments and all I can think of is he has what he wants so can I . Dr PHil had a show about this and he said" ask yourself this" do you need it' or "do yo want it" it really helped me but I still have my Damn right I need it" moments. This is a OCD but we can not change so we have to ajust. Believe me I've tried meds for 13 years nothing takes away the need to shop. it's like chocolate!
