He is incompetent as our defense secretary due to the fact he helped Bush engineer this messy Iraqi quagmire. Now over 2000 service personnel have died and many others were seriously wounded because of this. Rumsfeld (or Rummy Boy) should be treated as a war criminal, the same way Bush will be treated before the dust settles.

It's like all the other people in the Bush cabinet. They are owed some kind of politicaal patronage and are given something they would like to do, but lack the ability to implement.

Well, what did he do to prepare the Army as best as they can be prepared? What a load of crap that is!

I think that Rumsfeld is competent, because he is very shrewd and he knows how to go about getting what he wants. However, I also think that he is evil and that he and his cohorts in the Bush administration should be held accountable.

I think he likes to micro manage like McNamara did. He should let the comanders on the ground have more say.

He doesn't listen to his commanders and he doesn't supply our troops properly. Those are the reports I keep hearing from the so-called "liberal media." <---- That's a crock by the way. I'd say he is not.
