There they are up there tryng to bully, harrass and threaten you with the promise of a nightmare afterlife and the prospect of being nagged about it endlessly while you are alive. Religios really are scum.
You'll notice that they are all people. Just people. Telling you what they think you should do and backing it up with ugly threats.
Be brave and be honest. Don't let them push you around. They're just people.

I don't believe in god either, I believe that there is right and wrong and whatever I do, I have to live with it and I can't just confess it away. I believe I will decompose, so I have to make the best of the time I have. If god doesn't agree that I am a good person then he is wrong. If he is so wonderful and if he exist, he will see that I am a good person and a better person than all the hypocrites that preach the bible and sleep around or abuse people physically and sexually, or the nicer ones that wish people to BURN IN HELL just because I don't believe, they don't even care if you're a good person or not. But let's hope God has better sense then that.

Allegedly there are hundreds of different gods and religions and they all say that. It's a way in MY OPINION ( and we all have a right to an opinion!) of putting the frighteners on you so that you believe in them. If he was a true god he wouldn't have to frighten you into believing. I don't believe that it's the gods fault though I believe it's some of the extremists that follow them. Before anyone jumps on me I'm not saying all religious people are extremists. But I was bought up an Irish Catholic and the amount of killings done in the name of god was extreme!
Don't let somebody tell you how to feel or what to believe, teach yourself and make your decision from there. Good Luck

With a God of your understanding you will have a reference point for your values. Try it and see. Never mind the hereafter worry about the here and now.
Sometimes listening to God would help me to stay out of trouble, sometimes getting into trouble, because that was what God wanted has taught me to lean on God. Sometimes doing what I wanted did not please me, sometimes doing what I wanted did please me until I forgot what I have done.
A simple example, I have two appointments in my diary one is a regular date that causes me to evaluate my progress against my value system, the other is more fun and is more likely to encourage me to abandon my morals. God says I can do either. Either has the potential to be good for me. Either also has the potential to be bad for me.
Which action is going to cause me most regret? That is what I believe in God for, to give me the strength to do what I believe in despite wanting to do the contrary.
Set out on a relationship with God as YOU understand GOD. What are the big holes in your life? Can't refuse the badly waged job? Too many lovers not enough commitment? Too much time at the gym? No role model to base your life on? Take these things and spend time with God as YOU understand GOD and see where you end up.
A scientist told me how the internet works, I have no idea whether what he told me is right but something else he told me helped me to use the internet. I am using it to write to you. Ta!

It is up to YOU what you do or do not believe in. If you do not believe in God, it is your own choice. Your belief system is your choice. I believe in a god, but not as the conventional Christian does. A lot of peopel tell me I am damned for this, but I do not think so. I am a Unitarian Universalist, and they accept people of all race, gender, sex, and religion, regardless or preference of sex or god. Any religion is welcome. Even peopel who do not believe. It is simple a place to grow and learn. Research it, and decide for yourself. Don't let others influence what you feel or how you think. Don't conform to others. Listen to your heart.
*edit- some of these answers are making me angry! Do not listen to that. if there is a God in the sense that Christians believe, then the bible contradicts itself. Rememeber, man wrote it. In the Old Testament, God is shown as a God of Hate and jealousy. In the New Testament, God changes his mind and becomes a loving and just God. Intreresting, isnt it?
Either way, it is YOUR choice. Don't listen to peopel that tell you you will go to hell if you don't believe. It's up to you.

You don't believe in God therefore you probably don't believe in Heaen or Hell either. For these reasons you probably also believe that nothing is going to happen to you. If you are having these thoughts then you possibly believe that there could be a God. You need to think long and hard about your beliefs in that case.

From whom? If you don't believe in Skydaddy, why would you believe in Dirtdaddy?
That's kind of silly. If you do not believe there us any possibility of going to heaven, why worry about it? Hell is just as much a myth as Heaven to you, no?
Don't sweat it.
If it really bothers you, you can decide to "repent" at some point and God, see, God has to accept your repentance. That's the deal. So why bother being moral? Just do what you like and apologize afterward.
Works for most televangelists.

You will be fine! Besides it is not believing in God than means anything. You better believe that Satan believes in God and look at where he lives!
The critical issue is if you are willing to accept what Jesus did for you and me on the cross and proclaim him as your Lord and Savior.
If you don't want to do that either, that's okay, you will still live forever, just like Satan, actually you will have a lot more in common with Satan than just living forever!
I am sure you will be fine!

You'll be fine.
Ned Flanders from the Simpsons believes in God and nothing bad has ever happened to him - oh, appart from his house be completely smashed up by a huricane (and Homer Simpsons house survived)
Either way, you still end up being fine whether you believe in God or not.

Don't let others tell you your beliefs are wrong.
And who would you be in trouble with anyway...? If you don't believe in God then he/she can't do anything to harm you, if you are truly a non-believer. You may just be mis-directed and not a non-believer.

Let's begin with the word "God". Too often people attach their belief systems and dogma as well as fear around their idea of a higher power. Unfortunately, they do not understand the loving and benevolence of Source energy (however you may address it).
My suggestion to you is that you focus within yourself to that place of Love, Peace, and Compassion and allow your connection to deepen...whether it be in nature, some spiritual reading, etc. Stay away from the dogmatic approach to religion/God and come to know who you are and find your way through that.
