I wouldnt do that...Cuz then you or him could possibly end up dead...What I would do is sneak off and call the police....Keep your dad in the house and just wait for them to arrive....That man has to be stopped!! :o

Oooh this is a touchy one! Well boo... The best advise I can give you about your question is to ask for help. I'm sure your dad is bigger and much stronger than you. This would only anger him even more to hurt you and your mom. Maybe if you call the police when he's not paying attention or while he's expressing this awful bout of anger and be patient, but at the same time hold your grounds and try and calmly talk to your dad and ask him to stop in a way that will keep your mom and yourself out of harms way... when the police get's there ... your work is done... let the police officers deal with the problem.... that's what they are trained for!

I really hope this helps you...and in the meantime... please express your concerns with your mom and tell her that you all do not have to put up with this abuse ...you all are too good for this.... and get out before it's too late. Maybe take the opportunity to get out when your dad is in jail.... or at work...

Hitting your dad back is not the answer. However I agree with everyone, go to the police ASAP. Violence is unacceptable with anyone and should not be tolerated. Not to mention, it is against the law and has lasting effects on anyone. Call the police the first chance you get. Good luck hunny

well, tough question. depends on the situation... if he is battering your mom at that very second... i can see u coming to her rescue. but not to the point of aggravated assault. then it would be wise to get your mom out of there for good. if, he is abusive to u all he won't change overnight. so, go to a shelter or friend or some other safe haven. get counseling as a family. it will only get worse if u don't. take it from me been there done that! the whole family suffers in more than one way!

I'm so sorry you find yourself having to defend yourself from your parent. You deserve a safe place to live. If you are still in school, there should be someone there you could talk to confidentially. There are people in your area who can help you. I think you can even find numbers to call in the phone book. So, please find somebody! Sometimes parents have problems too and they're not able to take care of their children as they should. That doesn't make them bad people, it just means that they hurt too.

I would say yes, BUT it may angr him more, and God forbid worse things could happen. Get him out of that house or take your mom and move ASAP. That's a dangerous situation and I hope you have good common sense to decide what to do. God bless!!

No because he might hurt you or your mother worse. Best way is to file a complaint when he does it. Everytime. Talk to your mom about getting out.

My dad was 6'6" and I knew I couldn't kick his butt. But one day when I had had enough of him whipping my mom (I was 14), I grabbed my 12 gauge shotgun and ran his a.ss out of the house. He never came back.
