Reason #1 - gay pretty boys writhe on the ground pretending to be hurt every 30 seconds when someone touches their ankle. The replay usually shows no contact. And when there IS contact, why not be a man and keep dribbling up the field? It's sport for wimps.

Hardly peaceful...i.e. Football hooligans in England and Scotland. Riots in S.America at games too. Bring sport, hard to believe there's any passion in a game where 0-0 scores are so commonplace.

Futbol doesn't suck its just we as Americans just don't understand the game for the most part and anything we don't understand we consider boring or sucks....but this is from the country where one of its most popular sporting events is watching a car drive in a circle at 190 mph and soccer is boring...LOL...
If you watch the matches you will see it has contact, blood and tons of action. I saw one person said 90 minutes for a 1-0 score... I love Baseball but hey we will sit there and watch baseball for 3 hours for a 1-0 finish why doesn't that suck? We will watch 3 periods of hockey for a 1 -0 finish as well...
I really think if we understood it more then we would support our National Teams and Clubs...

The reason it sucks, for some people, is because the field is huge so it takes a long time for either team to score. This gives the impression to some people that soccer is to slow or non-violent. Some soccer games are really violent depending on the teams.

That's a personal view on your part. I don't much care for soccer either, but I wouldn't be so presumptuous as to make a blanket statement like this. As for me, I prefer sports where there is more scoring. I kind of have the same problem with hockey, but I do like the physical play and hitting in hockey.

Games are typically low scoring, which Americans don't typically enjoy. And the size of the field compared to the number of players on it makes for a lot of back and forth activity. Not very exciting.
We're used to football. Action at every snap. The potential for a touchdown on every play. Men in the trenches fighting for a few feet of grass. It's our mentality.
That being said, it's why we don't appreciate soccer, imo.

Basketball players do the same thing!
Even as a soccer player, it is way more fun to play soccer than it is to watch it. And sometimes i have to admit that at times they do a little more acting than playing soccer. Its one of those things that you have to play it to enjoy it

This is an easy one. Soccer sucks because it is just a bunch of fags running around in short shorts and long socks. Rugby is a much more straighter European sport.

Alrighty buddy. Lets use this scenario. You are running down the field at a super fast rate for you. Your also focusing on controlling the ball and keeping anyone else from taking the ball. Your half-way down the field. Your adrenaline is pumping then BAM from right behind you a guy slide tackles you full force. Mind now that you've slammed face FIRST into the ground, your ankle is in terrible pain as well as your face. Also your chance at NATIONAL GLORY has been taken away thanks to the other team. Your now hurt, pissed off and looking for revenge. Also most of the time they get back up. Oh yes and your manly football players in the U.S. WEAR PADS.
Also the reason for tied games is the defense of one team may be just as good as the other teams offense.
