I'm on seasonal, a birth control pill where i go 3 months without a period, and i just completed my first 3 months. I started taking the white pills three days ago and my period still hasn't came. How many white pills will I take before my period comes? Am I late?

I have been on Seasonalle for about a year and i usually get my period a few days into the white pills. It's normal. Plus the fact that your body is still adjusting to pills. Another thing to consider is that stressing over being pregnant could keep your period from coming. If it would put your mind at ease, take a home pregnancy test. I bet you will have your period very soon. :-)

Because you just finished your first three months of pills, my assumption would be that your body is just still getting used to the hormones. When I was on the pill I wouldn't get my period until I took the 3rd or 4th placebo (non-hormone) pill. It's normal. Like it was said before though, if you don't get your period still by the time you start taking the next pill pack or the 2nd week in, I would consider a pregnancy test or going to the doctor. Also, stressing about whether or not you're late can actually keep you from getting your period. So take a deep breath and try to relax!

Hope this helped!

I'm on Lutera, I get my period the 3rd day of my inactive pill. But I still get a period once a months. You should wait a couple more days and if he doesn't come call your doctor.

Seasonale is different because your body has not bled for almost 3 months so it may just be adjusting still

Hormones can affect your cycle so that you may not be regular for a few pill cycles. I assume the white pills are the placebos (no hormones)... Since you have been taking hormones for 3 months straight, it may take a little while for your period to start. If you don't get it in a week or 2, talk to your OB/GYN - he/she can tell you if it is normal. Good luck!

It usually takes 4 or 5 days after the last "active" pill before I get my period.
