To lose that much weight in seven or eight weeks is only possible by limiting or completely avoiding carbohydrates.
If you can avoid carbs for that long, you will lose a lot of weight but remember once you go that long without carbs you will have to start eating some again.
After the weight starts to fall off, and it will, try to reach a good balance of diets foods while you maintain the lighter weight. Talk to a counselor or a dietitian about helping you put together a reasonable diet and exercise program.
Good luck!

The type of food is not really as important as the amount of food you eat. Obviously you should stay away from high fat, high carb foods, and remember to exercise and drink plenty of water. Get enough sleep and avoid stress, and you should lose 3 to 4 lbs per week.
Eat less and remember fruit & vegetables!

Yes, you don't need to start up an eating disorder because you want to lose some weight... I mean, that will only cause problems that won't go away.
You know??
Maybe watch what you eat, don't eat as much junk food, and only eat when your hungry, eat slowly so you get fuller faster. Exercise.. that helps too. ^.^
But trust me, I've seen eating disorders mess lives up of my family members, that is the last thing you need.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

Eat Oatmeal cause it will help speed up your metabolism. Don't do the no carb thing cause once you introduce carbs back into your diet you will gain the weight back fast. Keep active, walk, run, take some aerobics classes. Work on your cardio. good luck

It depends how much you weight now, it depends how old you are, it depends how active you are.
You could calculate your answer at http://www.mypyramid.gov/
You can use this even if you are not in the US. it gives you a kind of general plan about how much someone your age/weight/activity level should eat and exercise to stay healthy, and how many calories should be in cabs or protein or vegetables.

its not what you eat its how much. make your portions smaller and have 4 or 5 SMALL meals a day. and make sure you do some physical activity because you can eat all the vegies you want but if you dont get something active its not going to help much.
i suggest walking around a golf course. i know it sounds weird but it goes in one big loop so theres no turning around. and theres hills to change the pace. but make sure you arent loud, golf courses are meant for golf, and golfers like their silence when swinging. i got my *** in great shape walking around a golf course a few times a week for a few weeks.

Balanced meals, smaller portions cut down on your sugar intake and EXERCISE, Diet alone will not do it, unless you plan to starve yourself, then you set your self up for dieting yo yo effect lose then gain. Start out right - cut back on your caloric intake and start exercising.
