Hydrogen?

what do you mean by thing? an electron is pretty light, but a neutrino is even lighter. Hydrogen is the lightest element. The lightest solid is probably aerogel.

nothing is the lightest thing... it can not have even a relitivistic mass.

As for other things ... photons and gravitons and other particles that move at the speed of light have no rest mass, the only mass that they have is relitivistic.

Electrons are also very light, but there are lighter sub atomic particles.

as for atoms you have hydrogen then duterium then helium (3) then tritium then helium.
Hydrogen = one proton one electron
duterium = one proton one neutron one electron
heleium (3) = two protons one neutron two electron
tritium = one proton two neutrons one electron
helium = twor protons two neutrons two electrons

as for solids... probbly sodium metal or lithium

as for substances that we use every day, plastics and aluminum and titanum are very light and very strong

It is actually the human soul. Some scientist measured a guy when he was near death, and shortly after he died, and found out that the human soul actually has a negitive weight. You wiegh more after it departs then before.

lightest substance is H atom
lightest metal is lithium.
about electrons, protons, and neutrons they are not stable and have too short a life to consider

The quark is so light that as they observe it it diappears.
Some believe its so volatile that they doubt it even exists .And since they cant really hold it ,they considered it the most useless litghtest thing.

if it has 1 proton and 1 neutron, then it can be divided into 1 proton and 1 nuetron.

Physicists are still finding ever-smaller components of matter (quarks, for example).
