You know what Moma, People are so rude for all types of reasons, some of them are really young and immature.
Some are just jerk and don't have a life.
Then there are some who are just miserable and you know that old saying "Misery loves company"
That's what make the world go around.
I totally agree with you, just go to another ?
I do all the time.

Moma,
Remember this saying, "you are not responsible for the actions of others, only how you react to them."
If you ask a question and get a rude remark, respond in kindness or just walk away. We walk out into the world as individuals with no regard to the life issues that others are facing, and why should we be concerned. We all have our own way of perceiving people. Maybe they aren't being rude, maybe we perceived it that way because of how our day was going, or maybe they were being rude and we caught it right off because of how our day was going. Either way, we are only responsible for our actions and responses.
Try not to take it personal!

Here is a simple answer that will accomplish alot. Some people are just not happy. Almost always, it has nothing to do with you or your question. The best advice I can give is not to take other people's moods personally.
Emit your own positive mood upon them and help them vibrate up! If you show your annoyance or hurt you only have helped them to accomplish their goal of speading the bad mood. Remember Misery loves company!

Some people like to feel superior.
Sometime you catch them in a bad mood.
If these things bother you on a regular basis, you may need to rethink where your thoughts are.
Dr. Wayne Dyer has a few CD's that address these issues. You may want to check them out.
When you let rude people affect your day, your valuing their opinion over yours.
Remember, Those woh fear the worst are seldom dissapointed.

I find that I ONLY answer a little rudely after reading to many misspelled or unclear questions. I am all for computer shorthand, but NOT poor sentence structure. I usually email the person and tell them about why I was "rude" and remind them to represent themselves better.

I don't know, but I know there are a lot of rude people on this thing. This one girl when I asked a question if I should get a dog because my puppy killed one of my kittens and ended up running away and she told me I don't need a dog or any animails and she hoped I never got another pet in my life.

Depends on how serious the question is. I answer both ways depending on the question. Especially if the question is vague, difficult to read or just plan dumb.
