Definitely. Particularly if you can look past the "gay cowboy" theme and simply watch it for what it is: a tragic love story of two people unable to fully declare their love for one another. The movie is much more about love and oppression than being a homosexual, and it is beautifully filmed and wonderfully acted.

yeah its worth watching, The gay element is unimportant to the story which is great. I was worried that was all it would be an exploitation film, but the romance and drama are very moving. Its really well shot by Ang Lee as well..
How is it spiderman? Tobey Maguire played spiderman, thats Jake Ghyllenhall and Heath Ledger, Jake was at one point rumoured to be playing spidey when tobey did his back in, but he pulled through. :)

Yes, definitely rent it. It's an amazing film, wonderfully acted and beautifully shot.

Yes. It's a really interesting character study and will make you think.
I think you should rent it and decide for yourself whether or not you like it.

i did not think i was going to enjoy it much but to be honest all shock and awe aside it is a good movie with a good story. there are two riska' sceens where your like "EWWWWW!" and the second makes you say, "OMG!!! THATS SPIDERMAN! WTF!!"
but all in all its good.
