Yes. Here's why: The government takes very seriously issues concerning discrimination. They go to great lengths to show an unbiased attitude. I know this b/c I work at the epa. Just because the president speaks out against gay marriage doesn't mean you will ever hear him say that being gay is wrong or degenerate. That would be political suicide. Karl Rove found a way for him to walk that fine line between bigotry and moral values.
If you were worried about them spending your tax money on this, then you would have a coronary if you found out all the other useless crap they spent your money on. This is just a drop in the bucket as far as the epa is concerned.
This really isn't a political issue. To the EPA its all about not being discriminatory. Heck, they even had an Asian-Pacific American pride week!

It is not the EPA's responsibility or authority to be sponsoring any event like this. That is stealing our tax moneys for unauthorized and unjustifiable spending.
Where's the outrage?
I would be just as outraged if it spent public moneys supporting a right-to-life parade, too. Because it is unconstitutional spending.

They are not celebrating the events, they are sponsoring them. Big difference. And yes, they should be allowed to sponsor them. The gay culture seems much more in tune with the environment. First rule of advertising is know your target audience.

No because it is a violation as to what the organization stands for thus allowing it to take a political stance that it has no right to do.
