Yes it is the best place to enjoy liberty, and freedom. If we didn't have the patriot act, cameras, & cops to protect your freedoms, then we could easily be taken over by a country who doesn't allow their citizens to have any sort of voice at all. Thanks to the troops overseas, and at home, and the people in our government protecting us from terrorist threats, you are able to voice freely how you feel, even if you disagree with them, You are able to make decisions for yourself about your religion, employment, where you live, and how you live. How many children you will have. How much education you will have. You have a vote in who runs our country. Yes, there are laws that some don't like, but at least we are not subject to a dictatorship who can invade your home, kill you on the street with no consequences, rape your women, steal your children and force them into a terrorist army, where they will probably be forced to kill themselves in the name of their God to help their unholy cause. Be grateful, and thank God every day that you are an American, and can choose for yourself, even if it not conforming to the norm, it is still your legal right.

This may come as a shock to you, but I have known more actual freedom when I lived in a country with a benevolant dictator than I know in AmeriKa.

All of these nebulous "Wars" on everything from poverty to illiteracy to iraq to drugs or whatever are, in fact, wars against the AMERIKAN PEOPLE and have been designed by the politicians, or more exactly, the HANDLERS of the politicians, to erode the basic rights granted under the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

100 years from now, If AmeriKa lasts that much longer, people will be asking: "HOW DID THEY LET THIS HAPPEN?" and people will wonder what life used to be like when AmeriKa was FREE. Because there is NOTHING free about AmeriKa and I jjust wonder at the person's stupidity whey they loudly proclaim how Proud they are to be an AmeriKan.

The whole world hates us... because AmeriKans are viewed as being semi-literate, loud-mouthed, arrogant and willing to force their ideas off on the rest of the world... at bayonet point, if necessary. AmeriKa is the school yard bully and the people can't see it because the politicians never tell them the truth.

Before 911 I would have answered this far differently than I will now. Currently we have lost a great many of our freedoms and liberties due to the Patriat Act. Our country is fast becoming a police nation. It is very scary for me as the last place such heavy government involvement occured it was in Germany under Hitler. When freedoms are removed, even under so called good intentions and safety, it is bound to effect liberties and freedom. We have to be careful what we say now or we come under the eye of the Patriot Act and we could have wiretaps, phone taps, video servaliance, mail tampering, and removed from our homes without a warrent or any knowing where were taken. This is what occured during world war two and it scares the pants off me. We do not have the level of freedom of speach we once had. If we speak out to much we become tagets of our government. We are placed on watch lists.

We are in great jeopardy here in the United States of losing all we had fought for in the Revolutionary War. We are sliding quickly into a police nation. We are not only policing our citizens we are policing the world. We are making enemies, which in turn is creating a level of hate for the United States and American citizens which creates a desire for those who hate us to wish to hurt us. This caused 911. Our government, by its actions in other countries has created a situation where we are now hated with a passion. Our government is responsible for 911. Had they kept theie nose out of situations they had no right in, 911 would not have occured. People do not want democracy pushed down their throats. Just becaus WE believe democracy is the best method of governing a country does not mean we have the right to force others to follow our belief system. We need to stay out of the business of others and allow them to work things out for themselves. We did that and become a powerful country. We now are moving backwards and many believe WE are the terrorists, not those who committed the actual events of 911. Many look at those who planed and executed 911 as here's how are protecting their religious freedoms and political freedoms. While I do not advocate terrorism in any form, I also do not believe there is no basis for those who hate us to hate us. However, I really wish they could see the American people are not the ones responsible, but the American Government is instead. Let them target those in power who make these decisions against our wishes and not innocent citizens just trying to get by and make a living a take care of our families.

Yes, our liberties are comprmised and I do not see us recovering that which has already been removed. I see it only getting worse instead of better. Those who still believe we can freely voice our opinions and actively go against the current government are not very knowlegable about history or current events. Sorry folds but today we do not have even a fraction of the freedoms we had post 911. Go ahead and voice outrage against the government and see how quickly your name gets on the watch list. We would not need all this "protection" if we just stayed the heck out of other countries business! OMG!
