Not really. The attitude of people of Ahemdabad is not at all service oriented, especially the young generation. Also communication is a big issue as the schooling is still in Gujarati medium. Politically with the religiously charged environment, I do not think any company with the right risk assessment would be inclined to make the investments. Though the local government may be able to attract some with incentives but I do not foresee large companies betting big on this location !

I think Gujjus are very good at making Khandavi, Chunda, Dhoklas, Oondhiya, Daal dhokadi and many other yummy food. Keep it simple ( like Gandhi always wanted ) and stay away from the IT mess and continue to keep Ahmedabad nice, clean and less crowded. May be you can just focus on Online Catering services to the IT cities if you really want to have a touch of IT in everyday life.
