Is it ok to sneak around? No. Is it ok for men and women just to be friends and hang out? Yes if the spouse knows about it. No if the spouse is being kept in the dark.

My husband and I are both answering this question.
Me first- Cheating is cheating. It doesn't matter if he knows about it or not. I guess you wouldn't mind if your husband cheated. You shouldn't have married, you should have just kept a relationship. Marriage is suppose to be a bond that is so solid no one can break it. You should be able to trust each other and believe in each other to know that even if you had to be absent for an extended time the marriage holds enough weight that you would remain faithful. If you really love someone, your heart won't let you do that. I've been in the situation of being seperated for a couple of months and I loved him and missed him so much, I didn't have time to think of any other guys, All I could think of was his coming home and the next time I would be able to find the comfort of his arms. I'm not saying people don't notice others from time to time. You just shouldn't put yourself in the position of being tempted. The next time you feel the urge to talk to someone else, imagine two thing...him standing around the corner and how he would feel. Then if you were the one standing around the corner watching him. Is your relationship worth a physical desire that may or may not work out? Think about it.
Now my husband will answer-there is absolutely nothing wrong with socializing and communicating with the opposite sex as long as a person in a committed relationship keep these encounters in their proper perspective.

You know Bonnie, jealously will always be in a relationship. Whether it be another man, woman, parents, a child, or an object. It ok for a wife or a husband to talk to the opposite sex, but, it is how and what you talk about that makes jealously come out in a person. Letting your spouse know that you talked to so and so, and this is what is going on, shows that no "relationship" is developing. Husbands and wives should tell each other everything. That is where trust come to play. Good Luck!

Husband talking to other woman, wife wanting to talk to other men.
- It depends on what you talk about. but you know, for a great number of americans talking to the other opposite sex in a party almost always lead to the bed.

It is because, american men become blind to the real beauty of their wives when such wives gain weight. It is as if the only pretty people are those who are petite.

Depends. How much intimacy do you want with your husband? What are you talking to these other men about?

Infidelity is not just about sex or emotions - it is the "AHA!" of discovering something important that the partner has been hiding. Usually threatening to the relationship, but even if it isn't, it is the undermining of trust and the keeping of secrets that destroys relationships.

I have this rule of thumb:
The minute anything becomes a secret in a marriage is the minute you know that you are doing something wrong.

Even if the other doesnt know, it doesnt make it better or okay. Nor does it make it cool for both people to be doing it..in that case Id say, Whyd ya bother to get married, ya know??

For my husband and I it is an agreed thing that secrets make for trouble.

How would you feel if you found out your hubby was havin secret talks with a woman/women.?? I`d bet the rent you`d feel shitty , thinkin your husband couldnt talk to you bout things.
Im not sayin you shouldnt have platonic relationships. Im sayin Secrets Suck!
Not tellin him or him not tellin you is guilt by omission. That stinks up a marriage.
Good Luck!

Absolutely not! That is when a man normally starts cheating on you. It's happened to me before. I went to the gas station and I saw my boyfriend, at the time, there with my good friend. He was supposed to be at work, yet, he was there with her just talking. Three months later after we broke up they confessed they did sleep together. Not saying that your husband is the same I just now I wouldn't put up with that. Good luck and God bless.

Yes it is. My friend's mother actually went on a dinner date with a male friend, but it wasn't like it was a serious date or anything. It better be okay with your husband or he is not a real man.It is your own decision to talk to other men but I would say go for it!

well as long as it is just talk i dont think there is anything wrong with it. However, if it is beyond talking (if you know what i mean); then I wuold say that a couple should be that understanding and open minded as everyone has their way of living a life. Only do it till a limit and be there always for your partner .. rest I think everythign goes
