If you're running any version of windoze, you shouldn't uninstall it. The microsquash website won't let you download updates to the operating system with any browser except IE, and you HAVE to get periodic updates, or you'll leave your system open to hacks. The script kiddies out there keep discovering more security holes in the windoze OS, so you have to keep downloading fixes.

Go try downloading something from microsoft.com using firefox or netscape, and see what I mean.

Don't remove it. You will end up causing more problems than it's worth. Do as I did. Install Firefox, make it your default browser. Some programs require IE. On rare occaisons for certain sites you may want to use IE.

But DO NOT remove it.

Hi,
actually u can not uninstall yor ie but u can install updated version.
u do not need to uninstall it setup of ie will take care of about it.
But u can remove it using add/remove windows componenet.
this simply removes links of IE from start menu and yor desktop.
