Try booting in safe mode. If that doesn't work, try booting with the WinXP Pro cd-rom and see if you can get your files off of the hard drive onto a backup and then reformat and reinstall windows.

Hi! it's better to repair your WindowsXP as discribe bellow:

boot your PC with a WindowsXP bootable CD, press any key to boot from CD then wait until this massage appear:
to Install windows XP press Enter! then hit Enter key.
after that you see massage say that there is Windows XP installed on your system, do you want to restore/repair it!
press R to repair it! you don't loos any data or program that installed!

mybe u press restart key on your case and it couse missing this file. by doing that u can copy a fresh ntdll file to your system.

have a fun!

Here is what you need to do. You will have to get to a command prompt either via a windows xp disc or a boot disc floppy (bootdisk.com use a win98 or whatever) then you can download the NT. file from the link below. from there unzip and install into the directory c:\windows\system32. Try this and let me know what happens

If this problem started recently just do a system restore to a date in the past and it will fix the issue. it sounds like you inadvertently deleted a file that was need. Did you unistall something recently?

You just might have to reinstall windows. If you have a 2nd harddrive with nothing in it, use that when you reformat ur computer
(you have to do taht when u reinstall windows) so you don't lose any information.
