Does anybody know of any good artists that play drum & bass?

Hey, sorry you guys. I guess i didn't word that question very well. by drum & bass I meant the dance music with heavy basslines. I suppose the genre is abbreviated dnb but yeah, just wondering of any good drum and bass suggestions out there. thanks. and thanks also for the answers of good bassists and drummists even though, i didn't mean to ask that, but hey, i learned something new. and yes, les claypool. awesome. primus. haha the devil went down to georgia.

While I don't know if this genre is the same in your part of the world as in mine, but some D'n'B artists to look into - personal favorites - would be Goldie, Roni Size, 4 Hero, TeeBee (our Norwegian pride in the genre) & Pendulum.

Great drum and bass artist come in all genres of music.

Since I'm more familliar with Rock, I'll give you some names to check out:

Drums:
John Bonham
Bill Ward
Keith Moon
Steward Copeland

Bass:
Joh Paul Jones
Jack Bruce
Steve Harris
Billy Sheehan

I'll let others give you some drum and Bass artists in other genres.

not at the same time (although Hasil Adkins plays guitar and drums at the same time)
Les Claypool (Primus) is the best bassist in the world.
drummers, maybe Neal Peart (Rush).
I hear great things about Bela Fleck and the Flecktones drummer and I have seen a video of their bassist, hes very good, but no Les.

if you want a really really good bass player try a band called primus. there bassest Les Claypool might be the best ever. you want really good druming, pop in Metallica's master of puppets cd.
