I have the same problem...my bf is like that...he thinks it's a serious thing, I think it's because he feels like if I do that then he isn't satisfying me himself, so it's kind of letting himself down. That's all that I can come up with.

Masterbation has never been a problem for me in a relationship. i can't imagine ever getting mad a bf for masterbating, not trying to offend but it really sounds like there were (possibly are) some control issues going on. But I'm glad you feel you've worked through them.
