If you view the week like a hill or "hump" you go up the hill for the first part of the week and down the second half. In the middle (Wednesday) you are at the top of the "hump"!

Hump day was yesterday. Wednesday is always hump, because it is the middle of the week. After wednesday you are 'over the hump' cause the week is more then half over. Similar to being 'over the hill' at age 65.

Hump day was yesterday, Wednesday. It is called that because it is the middle of the work week. Now we are on the downhill slide... made it over the hump, so to speak.

Hump day was yesterday.

Wednesday is called "Hump Day" because it is the middle of the work week- after Wednesday, it's all downhill to get to Friday.

Hump day is actually Wednesday. It is the middle of the week, or the hump of the hill of the week that you are climbing towards the weekend.

Wednesday is Hump Day. It is in the middle of the week. So, if you picture the week at a hill it would be the top of the hill therefore it is at the top of the hump. It is all down hill from there.

Where I am, is Thursday. I have always heard Wednesday called hump day because it is the middle of the typical work week--hence, once you're over the hump, you're nearing the weekend.

Yeah it's the middle of the week, you climbed up the first part of the week and you are getting ready to coast down the end of the week, but Wednesday you are at the top of the hill or "hump".
