I heard that steroid testing is a completley different test.It is also very expensive.Therfore many companys and employment type places only do basic drug test and not steroid test.My friend is a real good person as well as a real great father and wants to become a firefighter . He is on steroids. Will the that show up in the required testing they do for firefighters.please give me honest answer and not an answer based on being against steroid users.Thank you very much for your time.

Tell your friend "the real good person" to stop being an idiot an get off steroids. Whether or not they test for roids, if they were to find out, he'd be fired for be on ILLEGAL drugs if they were to find out. They WILL do a background check. If you know he uses a controlled substance, how many others may also know it?

The good thing is that they probably won't test for it. The bad thing is that the they'll probably find out when he's been on he job for a while and when he's making a good income, get fired and can't replace the income, then he loses, he family and kids, lose, etc, etc, all because he wants to be a meathead...

Yes, they typically do a complete and thorough drug screening. Cities and other municipalities don't need any risks where the safety of the public or the employees are concerned. If he is taking steroids it would be in his best interest to tell them beforehand and the reason why he is taking them.

I would say know. There is really no legal reason why he couldn't be on steroids. Steroids if used correctly can be very safe. Good luck to your friend.

I think that if steroids help a fire fighter do his job better, that would be a good thing. After all, we aren't talking about "fair competition" when it comes to saving lives.

If they didn't before, they probably do now. Have you noticed how muscular and built most of those guys are? I don't think that all of it comes from workouts. Do you?

I dont see why they would, I mean its not like you're competing or anything. As long as you arent shooting up at work or nothin. Why? you taking roids?
