Considering the behavior of both the mayor of New Orleans and the Goveror of Louisiana during the Hurricane Katrina disaster and its' catastrophic aftermath, and more recently the re-election of the same mayor of the city of New Orleans, "Just how stupid do you think the voters of New Orleans and Louisiana are?"

Well lets see now.... when given a primary for Gov. a few years back we sent to the run-off a known crook and a member of the KKK. Said member of the KKK came within a whisker of being elected US Senator in a different election.

Baton Rouge re-elected a Clerk of Court (back in the early 80s) WHILE he was sitting in jail on corruption conviction.

The past 3 Commisioners of Insurance have gone to prison.

You tell me how stupid....

About as stupid as the voters in the city of Detroit in re-electing Coleman Young for numerous terms and recently re-electing Kwame Kilpatrick after numerous scandals. Those two have succeeded in making Detroit the wonder that it is today! (Insert sarcasm here). And what about Washington D.C. re-electing Marion Berry after all of his illegal dealings?
New Orleans and Louisiana are not the only places where we should implement I.Q. tests for voters.

Lets see they are raising all sorts of public "awareness" to their plight of rebuilding "their" city that is on the water, 15 feet below sea level, and in a hurricane path, at a cost of 5x's do do the same thing 5 miles north up river and above sea level, and have gotten the American public to go along with it.....that's pretty impressive. Maybe its the rest of us are the stupid ones for allowing this travesty of rebuilding to happen?
