Powers & History: Jubilee generates plasma "pafs" that explode on command. Most of the time they are small, but when she's stressed or scared, she can cause major damage. She has the unrealized potential to detonate matter on a molecular scale. When Jubilee was suddenly orphaned, she ended up spending most of her time in an L.A. mall. One day, when the ladies of the X-Men went shopping, and ended up fighting the goofy M Squad, Jubilee was fascinated by them, and followed them through Gateway's return portal.

Jubilee's main power is pyrotechnics. Although in the early comic books these abilities are very low and more of a flash bang effect almost like a cherry bomb or a small firework. In books where she has more control of those powers and less fear of them she has the ability to blow things up using these pyrotechnic powers. For the large part her abilities are used as a distraction technique in her early appearances. Her main problem with using her powers was that she was afraid of them due to an accident she ahs when they first manifested causing some security gaurds in a mall to be injured.

A mutant, Jubilee possessed the power to generate explosive energy sparks. A teenaged "mall rat," she was the X-Men's youngest member in the early 1990s, often playing sidekick to Wolverine. She eventually joined the junior team Generation X.

she creates plasma bursts which can blind enemies. it's not a very powerful ability, which is one of the reasons she left x-men and joined generation x.
there's a number of characters with simliar abilities - dazzler and boomer are two that come to mind. i think dazzler's power is light based, while boomer can create more powerful plasma bursts.
jubilee's also used as bait a lot, something she hates.
