Beyonce is a huge star right now and probably will always be, but do you think if Aaliyah was still alive would she still be as popular, or less popular. I don't think she would have stood a chance. Aaliyah looks better, dances better, and she had Jay Z first (I saw the pictures).

I think Aaliyah would be. Because she was a true talent(act, Sing etc...)with a heart of gold. Beyonce I don't know her singing is alrite but the acting gotta go lol

I think Beyonce would still be popular, but I think Aaliyah would would be a bigger star. She was an awesome, all around talent and a true beauty. That would be a good competition.

Of course,It was Beyonce`'s destiny to be the star she is and as far as talent goes Beyonce` could out sing Aaliyah any day, and I personally think that Beyonce` lookes better than Aaliyah ever did, cause Beyonce` has the body that Aaliyah never had, I mean the girl is just beautiful.

Beyonce would not be as popular, maybe for awhile when she first came out, but Aaliyah would have the spotlight. That's like sayin if Tupac and Biggie were still alive, would half these "rappers" have a chance? Hell no...

I like Aaliyah's music. She sang some cool tunes, and she was stylishly very cool without being slutty. Beyonce' would not have stood a chance. OH by the way Aailyah was dating Jay-Z's partner-Damon Dash.
