Does the stone itself come in different colors, or can you make them that way? I have a necklace that is deep purple cubic zirconia. http://fashionbug.charmingshoppes.com/Shopping/product.aspx?product_id=FA001808&nav=FA Like that, only purple.

cubic Zirconias are basicly just cut glass and the glass could be dyed before cutting and that gives the different colors.

You can purchase cubic zirconia in many different colors, from clear to dark, and in settings of real gold, or sterling silver. Some of the colors appear to be costume jewelry, bright and gaudy. The softer colors look like the real thing....I have rings with champagne-colored, pale olive green, ocean blue, and soft purple cz's...clear, also...and receive compliments on all.

Yes, they can be colored. There is a designation for it that your jeweler has to tell you about.
