Many reasons. Political Science is a great way to interpret informaion presented to you.
Its not just about the basics regarding how the government works, or the impact political action and inaction, law making, or the power of Supreme Court Rulings.
It is a necessary to be a true patriot, to hold leaders accountable, be an active participant in society, and put the punk a## oposition in thier place with facts and truth.

It provides a good base of understanding not only for domestic politics but also international politics, public administration, social movements, labour relations and trade.
