As an Australian you need to get it prior to arrival. The cost is $45 for a single entry tourist visa. You will need to provide a flight itinerary, passport, passport photo and an application form. Just send an email to:
visa@egypt.org.au
to get all the info you require. Otherwise, just see you travel agent as they can do all of this for you.

princess is wrong!!

you get your visa right at arrival at the airport. you buy some stupid looking stamps at a counter left to passport controls, what looks like a bank for 15 $. with this stamps you go in line and the officer gives you a 30 day visa without any question.

I visited Cairo in January and definately had to get a visa before i went to Egypt, AUSTRALIANS CANNOT GET ONE AT THE AIRPORT.

You better get the Visa from the Egyptian embassy, however, there should not be a problem getting it upon the entry. . . .

passpord is requierd, visa u can get it as soon as u arrive at airport more easy than u can imagin, cost 15 $.

u'll get ur visa at airport, before the passport control. (it costs 15 USD).
