its probably sick, and you are not keeping it properly, most people kill their fighting fish in a few days, they are not really suppose to be kept in glass jars

There are many reasons: the fish could be bored if you're keeping it in a small bowl of water, or it could be water quality, or it could be sick. The weird swimming may be because of swim bladder. You can try to put it in a bigger tank with plants and other compatible fish or with a mate. Try to find better foods and change water to balance the chemicals.

One of the primary reason for fish falling sick is water quailty. If its a new tank, then its a new tank syndrome. If you changed water lately then its Chlorine in the tap water. You should have used water conditioner. Use stresszyme/stresscoat or Ammolock to improve its environment.
