YES YOU CAN! AND YOU DONT NEED EXPENSIVE LOTIONS OR CREAMS! - I had very large purple stretch marks on the back of both legs just under my butt. They are completely gone now. Each night after i got off of work i would go home and watch the x-files while rubbing lotion or aloe over the stretch marks until my skin was VERY SLIGHTLY red and raw. what i was doing was rubbing the top layers of dead skin and the first layer of new skin off. skin grows from the bottom up. by continually rubbing off the new skin of the stretch mark i eventually "SANDED THE STRETCH MARKS OFF". Skin layers are VERY VERY THIN and there are Many, please do not do damage to your skin or the stretch marks will be replaced by scars! just rub a good lotion for dry skin in until your skin is too sticky/tacky to slide your hand across. I did it over each thigh during the commercials then rested during the actual TV show. So do it for 5-10 minutes rest for 30 minutes then do it again for 5-10 minutes and if your up to it rest for 30 and do it one more time for 5-10 Min's. my marks were 4-6 inches long and a 1/2 inch wide and they were purple! they are COMPLETELY GONE NOW. Be diligent and it will take a period of months depending on how bad they are, its not an immediate solution but when they are gone you will be so so happy you put in the effort! good luck!

The method: Silicone sheeting

What it's good for: Raised scars and keloids (overgrown scar tissue)

How it works: Silicone sheeting is placed over a scar and surgically taped down. Dermatologists believe that the combination of the occlusive layer over the scar and the friction from the silicone sheeting actually reduces raised scars over time. And in fact, silicone sheeting can take weeks or months to work (and can make your scar itchy when you wear it).

The method: Mederma ointment

What it's good for: Smaller scars and new stretch marks

How it works: Mederma uses an ingredient derived from onion skins to help treat scar height and discoloration. Its manufacturer claims it will soften hardened scar tissue, too. Mederma comes in a gel formula, so you can apply during the day and no one has to know. Visible results, however, can take awhile to show up.

The method: Microdermabrasion

What it's good for: Raised and slightly pitted scars

How it works: Microdermabrasion uses tiny crystals to aggressively slough off the top layers of skin. By sloughing off enough skin, microdermabrasion can help even out differences in tissue, thereby smoothing out a raised scar or making a pitted scar less deep. If you have very sensitive skin, however, microdermabrasion may not be for you. The process naturally irritates the skin, which can cause further discoloration if you're particularly sensitive.

about the cocoa butter.... this is only a preventative ( used before stretch marks appear)

Pure vitamin e (gel caps popped) will help to fade them.

Stretch marks are scars, my reccomendation would be try the mederma cream (scar treatment) found in local retail stores. However remember this stuff is expensive.

You can't get rid of stretch marks but you can lessen the appearance of them by using one of a number of lotions. Avon do a good one for £12. It's called 'Maximum Body Makeover'. It also helps diminish the appearance of cellulite.

I heard you have to have laser to remove them.

I know all these stupid cream don't work. My question would be how do you stop getting them!

I tried murad they claim taken a combo of vitamins for 60 days (9 pills a day) would banish them if anything I got more.

They will not fade through time, you have to resolve the problem all by yourself. The best you can do is to use cream with L-carnitin.
