Install solar panels on the roof of your house to reduce global warming, resource depletion, sulfer and mercury pollution from coal plants, and dependence on the oil of theocratic countries. Recycle all of your garbage that can be recycled, so as to curb the growth of landfills. Publicize and promote thermal depolymerization technology, which can turn any organic matter into very clean-burning oil for our vehicles. Vote for political candidates that support military action to kill all of the dangerous fanatics overseas before they kill us and/or take over. If you are a pacifist, an environmental determinist (genetic egalitarian), and/or a religious fanatic, then do the world a favor and kill youself. Homeschool your children (if applicable) by a high-efficiency method, so as to take power away from the fanatical labor-ritualized public school system. I know that there is much more that a person can do, but this is just what I can think of at the moment.

Wow that's a big job! I don't think any of us can "save the world" all we can do is be good citizens and try to vote in leaders who are honest and have the good of the country (that we live in) when making big decisions. I know that's a broad answer but so is your question. What area of "saving the world" concerned you enough to ask that question?

A daunting task indeed :(
Unite as a people and thru our actions make a profound statement in which our governments cannot overlook?
Same problem however, how can we as "ordinary people" start such a movement as this...

We can't...we must be extra-ordinary people and take up the cause. Not just sit back and let someone else do it for us.

The oceans are made up of drops. Do your share and become an example to others, if people respect you they will copy you.
