Verizon is ranked number 1 by Consumer Reports for at least the last two years in every market. Best coverage and service nationwide. However... who is best for you is a different thing all together. What service is best for you depends on what you are looking for. If you want a specific phone, then that can limit what providers you can choose from. Cingular and T-Mobile both are on a GSM network with is commonly used in Europe and Asia. They have phones that Sprint and Verizon do not and Verizon and Sprint are one a CDMA network and have phones Cingular and T-Mobile don't. If you are a international traveler you may want to use T-Mobile and Cingular... since the use the same technology as Europe and Asia, you can use your phone there by purchasing a Internation plan or a pre-paid phone card when you get there. Not all Cingular and T-Mobile phones do this though. I personally have the LG vx9800 (the V) with a Verizon service. The peopl I call most are all on Verizon, so it makes more sense to me since in network call is free.

I like Cingular. My first hand set was V180 my daughter dropped it and it cracked my display. I have insurance and replaced it with a V220. V180 andV220 are about the same except that the V220 has a camera. I was very unhappy with them both. I would get feedback from my radio and television. And the reception was bad my husband owns a Nokia 6100 and would get a better signal strength then me. So I replace my V220 for a Nokia 6102 which I am very happy with my current model.

I have a Motorola Razr V3, with Cingular. I love it. I travel frequently around the country, and have had no problems. The handset is incredibly cool. All the features you could ever want.
